Cabinetworks has been building custom designed contemporary furniture and specialised kitchens since 1994. Over the years we have progressively moved towards working exclusively in sustainable hardwoods, which is why it was only natural that, in 2005, when we discovered solid bamboo furniture boards we not only incorporated the new medium into our design but have adopted it as an integral part of our brand essence.
 
This ethos translates into our business in many ways – the most important being our choice of materials.
 
We only work with environmentally friendly materials like FSC certified hardwoods and water-based finishes, always opting for premium quality and never compromising on beauty or functionality.
 
Bamboo is our material of choice because it is just as versatile, strong and aesthetically pleasing as traditional wood, yet unique as a truly renewable resource. The bamboo shoot grows to full maturity in 6 years, and consumes more CO2 during its rapid growth than is produced during its manufacturing process.
