Women Development Savings and Credit Union (WDSCU) is a financial co-operative society providing finacial services only to its members all of who are women. It was formed after consultative metings by group of well-organised women who whose common goal was poverty alleviation among women. WDSCU's mission is to become a leader in microfinance business in Zimbabwe, socially responsible, fully integrated into the financial system, and providing a wide range of financial services to women from different socio-economic categories in both rural and urban areas, especially the economically marginalised.

Objects
The organisation's key objects are to: * promote a savings culture and reduce financial dependence among its members * empower members through education and training * provide loans to members for productive purposes * build a professional and motivated team of employees and a satisfied membership base * reduce risk to acceptable levels * be innovative in responding to members' needs * continue to grow and improve.
